You don't even have to spell Presbyterian correctly...

“Presbyterian” is our middle name

We are sinfully proud to be part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

But it’s not about us, it’s about God, and it is about finding a safe place to continue or restart your spiritual journey. We are not your grandma’s church. We are new and we think God makes room to do things differently here in the 21st Century.

However, our roots are deep and strong.

Here’s an example of our pride in the name of love…

Among the speakers preceding the “I Have a Dream” speech by MLK Jr. at the March on Washington 50 years ago was Rev. Eugene Carson Blake. He worked for equality and unity among cultures and denominations. (Thanks to Religion & Ethics weekly for posting this photo.)

Caption from Religion and News Ethics Weekly: Prominent in many of the photographs taken at the 1963 March on Washington is the Rev. Eugene Carson Blake, a Presbyterian and a mainline Protestant leader who headed both the National Council of Churches in America and the World Council of Churches. He was one of the first speakers on the program, and the remarks he delivered that historic day are here: http://www.thekingcenter.org/archive/document/march-washington-address-eugene-carson-blake
